In a digital landscape flooded with content, authenticity is often what separates creators who momentarily trend from those who build lasting communities. For comedy duo Jaz and Harjit, the formula has always been simple: live life, pay attention, and turn everyday moments into something people can laugh about.
Their platform, YouTwoTV, has grown into one of the most recognizable comedy channels among online audiences, built on relatable storytelling, cultural observations, and sketches that feel pulled straight from real life. Approaching just over 7M+ Followers across social media, YouTwoTV has generated over 2B views and continues to rise.
For Jaz and Harjit, inspiration rarely comes from a brainstorming session. Instead, it comes from the world around them.

Most of their skits are rooted in everyday experiences — the kinds of moments people instantly recognize. Whether it’s family dynamics, awkward social interactions, or cultural nuances, the duo has built a reputation for transforming ordinary situations into viral comedy.
“Living life,” Jaz explains, is the biggest source of ideas. “Most of our skits are based on real people, real life, real experiences. As a comedian, you really just need to find the funny in every life experience.”
That perspective became especially clear during the COVID years, when the lack of social interaction made creating new material much harder. With fewer experiences to draw from, the creative process slowed. Now that the world has reopened, the flow of ideas has returned.
Harjit shares a similar process. He simply observes the small moments people often overlook.
“If something makes me laugh or feel something, I’ll turn it into a skit,” he says. “I assume that if it’s funny to me, it’ll be funny to other people.”
Interestingly, Jaz and Harjit were both creating content long before they ever met. Each launched their own YouTube channels back in 2009, experimenting with video and storytelling during the early days of the platform.

Jaz had always dreamed of acting and being on screen. At the time, representation for South Asians in traditional media was limited, so creating content online became a way to build the opportunities she didn’t see elsewhere.

Harjit came from a production background, running his own videography company. When the two eventually connected, their skill sets aligned naturally: marketing and storytelling on one side, production and visual expertise on the other.
That partnership led to the birth of YouTwoTV in February 2016.
The influencer industry has evolved dramatically since YouTwoTV first launched. Brands are now far more open to partnering with digital creators, creating new revenue streams and opportunities.
At the same time, the surge of new creators entering the space has also changed the economics of brand partnerships.
Despite the shifts, Jaz and Harjit have stayed flexible. Short-form content currently dominates attention across social platforms, but they still see value in long-form storytelling on YouTube — a platform that remains one of the most consistent spaces for creators.

Looking ahead, they believe the next wave of content will focus on interactive experiences, including live streams and real-time audience engagement. As their audience continues to grow, maintaining authenticity remains a priority.
Brand partnerships are part of the business, but the duo is intentional about how those collaborations appear in their content. Instead of forcing ads into their sketches, they integrate brands in ways that feel natural and aligned with their style. That balance is helped by a trusted manager who handles many of the business negotiations, allowing Jaz and Harjit to focus on what they do best: creating. After nearly a decade in the creator economy, Jaz believes the biggest mistake creators make is trying to imitate others who appear more successful. Her advice is simple: understand who you are and stick to it. Audiences, she explains, are drawn to creators they can trust. Authenticity builds long-term connection in a space where trends come and go quickly. Harjit agrees. Consistency is essential, but so is adaptability. Social media evolves constantly, and creators must be willing to experiment with new formats and ideas.
The key is finding that balance between growth and identity.

At its core, YouTwoTV isn’t just about viral videos. By staying grounded in real life, Jaz and Harjit have created something many creators chase but few sustain: a community that feels genuinely connected to their work.
And as long as everyday life continues to provide awkward, funny, and relatable moments, the duo will likely keep doing what they’ve always done best — finding the humor in it all.
