Instead of treating the route from Jakarta to Central Java as a transfer, Aman turns it into the opening chapter of the stay: a seven-hour rail journey aboard a private carriage on Kereta Api Wisata, with full meals, drinks and cultural commentary delivered along the way by the resort’s resident anthropologist.
The experience is built for a maximum of eight guests and is currently offered on select dates through the end of 2026. It combines the private train journey with a three-night stay at Amanjiwo, the brand’s monument-like resort near Borobudur, along with airport meet-and-greet service, VIP station lounge access, private transfers and daily breakfast.

Guests are met in Jakarta, transferred to the station and escorted into a private carriage where breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and alcoholic beverages are served throughout the journey. The route crosses Java toward Yogyakarta, passing changing landscapes, river valleys and volcanic scenery before the final transfer to Amanjiwo.
The detail that elevates the experience beyond private transport is the presence of the resort’s resident anthropologist, who provides context on the geography, history and culture encountered along the way. Aman’s own itinerary highlights landmarks including the Serayu River, Mount Slamet and Mount Merbabu, turning the window view into a moving introduction to Java.
